Our Response to COVID-19


The Monterey Jazz Festival has been monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak closely and will continue to do so over the next seven months between now and September 25. The safety and well-being of our audience, artists, staff, volunteers and vendors is our top priority, and we will continue to stay in close contact with local, state and federal agencies and follow their recommendations. At this time, we continue planning a fantastic festival for you this September. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.


Refund Policy 4.16.2020: Should the Monterey Jazz Festival be required to postpone the 2020 Monterey Jazz Festival due to the Covid-19 virus, tickets will automatically transfer to the rescheduled event. Patrons may also elect from the following options:

  • A tax-deductible donation for the value of the tickets. We ask that you consider this donation option, if you are able, to help sustain the organization at this difficult time. Patrons wishing to make a contribution of their tickets should notify the organization of that intent before the end of the calendar year.
  • A full refund. Patrons must request a refund within 60 days following a formal announcement of the festival postponing.

* If the 2020 Festival does take place as scheduled, we will maintain our original no-refunds policy.
