Lucia Micarelli will debut a new duo touring format in 2023 with guitarist/Latin GRAMMY® nominee Leo Amuedo. Join Lucia and Leo for an intimate night of music showcasing their diverse influences moving from jazz, to classical, to traditional fiddle music, Americana, and Latin, while creating a musical map bound together by Lucia’s trademark emotional vulnerability and Leo’s technical wizardry.
Lucia is an astounding classically trained violinist, vocalist and actress best known for her touring collaborations with Chris Botti, Josh Groban and Jethro Tull, as well as her portrayal of Annie Talarico in HBO's critically acclaimed series Treme. She was a special guest on Josh Groban’s 2022 Harmony Tour and recently starred in the film The Christmas Bow which aired on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries for the 2020 holiday season. Born in Queens, New York of Korean-Italian heritage, she began playing violin at the age of three, played her first concert with orchestra at age six, was accepted into The Julliard School at age 11 and later continued her studies at the Manhattan School of Music. Jazz, folk, Cajun, classical, rock – it’s all part of Micarelli’s musical world. Lucia also stars in her own headline PBS-TV concert special, An Evening With Lucia Micarelli.
Born in Uruguay, Leo learned his first guitar chords when he was four years old and has grown into one of the top guitarists performing today. He is best known for touring with Chris Botti and Ivan Lins, as well as his recordings with Barbra Streisand, Stevie Wonder, and Julieta Rada.
