“I was new to jazz and one of the youngest people there but I felt very welcomed once I stepped in to this camp. The faculty was very friendly and nice and I was able to make lots of friends easily. It was really nice to be able to play trombone with other trombonists and if I had the option to come back I would!”
– Felice, Summer Jazz Camp Student
“I am so grateful for the openness and inclusion we received in participating in the Monterey Jazz Festival Summer camp. The faculty, students and all who helped were generous in sharing their knowledge, skills, and love of jazz and music. Jazz was completely new for my daughter and I really wasn’t sure how the experience would go for her, however, after day one I picked her up and she was all smiles proud that she had attempted her first solo on trombone even though she was nervous. This environment was supportive and nurturing and I am so incredibly grateful.”
– Kendra, Summer Jazz Camp Parent
“Thanks so much for such a wonderful week, Claire!  Evan’s (piano) has been completely inspired and has been playing and listening to jazz for hours every day since camp.  This was his first jazz camp, and it far exceeded his expectations in every way.  Thanks to all of you at MJF for all the hard work in making it happen and creating such a fantastic experience for our kids.”
– Suna, Summer Jazz Camp Mom
