October 10, 2013; Monterey, Calif.; Monterey Jazz Festival, a leader in jazz education since its inception in 1958, is pleased to announce that Andrew T. Sudol has been named as the Festival’s development director.
Mr. Sudol brings more than a decade of fundraising experience to the position, having held development leadership positions at the California Institute of Technology, University of Southern California Marshall School of Business, and University of California, Los Angeles. In addition, Andy has held positions with Warner Bros. International Distribution, and United Nations Secretariat.
Andy received his Bachelor’s degree from University of California, Los Angeles, where he majored in Political Science and Russian Civilization.
“I am delighted to welcome Andy to the Monterey Jazz Festival team,” said Festival Managing Director, Chris Doss. “Andy’s business acumen and strong track record in fundraising, plus his warm personality and love for jazz, are an ideal combination for this position. I am confident that he will play a major role in allowing Monterey Jazz Festival to continue as an innovator and leader in jazz education.”
