Eight Shows Feature Local Talent at Carmel Valley Ranch 6-9pm on Sundays
Monterey, Calif., July 11, 2017; Monterey Jazz Festival, celebrating 60 years of leadership in the arts and jazz education on the Monterey Peninsula, is proud to announce a series of eight dinner music concerts at the Valley Kitchen at Carmel Valley Ranch in Carmel on Sunday nights from 6-9pm, beginning July 9 through September 3. Arranged by Paul Contos, MJF’s Education Director, musical performances will feature students and alumni of the Festival’s Monterey County All-Star student groups, and others, performing programmed material, including 1940s swing, the music of Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Herbie Hancock and other jazz legends; plus bebop, bossa nova, and samba.
“Our partnership will present a variety of jazz themes in a relaxed and beautiful setting, featuring MJF’s college and university alumni from our education programs,” said Contos. “The ambiance at the Valley Kitchen is both tasteful and chic, as is the music.”
Featured performers will include the Bradley Sisters; The Triple A’s (Adam Band, Akili & Ayana Bradley); Brass Knuckles, Anthony Paolini, Blue Clay, and others. The Valley Kitchen at Carmel Valley Ranch is located at 1 Old Ranch Rd, in Carmel, Calif.
