Monterey Jazz Festival Seeks Volunteers for Upcoming Festival, September, 2011

Unique Opportunity to Participate Behind the Scenes, Gain Valuable Experience in Festival Production, Assist Patrons and Staff

July 20, 2011; Monterey, CA; The Monterey Jazz Festival is looking for volunteers for a variety of positions, available during Festival week of September 12 through September 19, 2011. Volunteer opportunities range from office work and assisting stage crews to helping Festival partners interact with fans.

Volunteering offers a unique experience for everyone from students to seniors, whether working behind the scenes or in a crowd. Volunteers are needed now through the Festival, with the greatest number of positions available starting Monday, September 12, and continuing through Monday, September 19. The Festival has a special need for volunteers early in the Festival week to help Monterey Jazz Festival staff set up this major event. Volunteers typically work six-hour shifts, and are able to stay on the grounds before or after their shift to enjoy the music for free.

You will find a link to volunteer information and an online application form. Volunteers will be notified if accepted, with a job description and hours based on your preferences.
