The Monterey Jazz Festival takes place on the Monterey County Fairgrounds, located at 2004 Fairground Road in Monterey, California 93940.

GETTING TO THE FESTIVAL

AIR TRAVEL

The Monterey Regional Airport offers the convenience of a small, friendly airport with non-stop connections to/from six major cities. Please visit the Fly Monterey Web site for flight schedules and more information. The San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose airports are within a two-hour drive.

SHUTTLE SERVICE - FESTDRIVE

We know that driving can be stressful and troublesome so leave that up to us; sit back, and relax on a bus to Monterey Jazz Festival! Buses will run on Friday, September 25th to Sunday, September 27th with one convenient pick up time to get you to the festival out of Oakland, San Francisco, San Jose and Santa Cruz. BIKE VALET SERVICE

Free Bicycle Valet Parking is available for those patrons who are able to commute to the Festival from local hotels and residences. Provided in partnership between Monterey Jazz Festival, the Monterey County Fair & Event Center, Green Pedal Couriers and Bicycling Monterey, the free Bicycle Valet Service is located at Fairgrounds Gate 3, on the corner of Fairground Road and Garden Road.

FAIRGROUND & GENERAL PARKING INFORMATION

ON-SITE FAIRGROUND PARKING

Located on-site at the Monterey County Fairgrounds off Garden Road, close to the Fairgrounds. On-site parking is available for advance purchase if you are an Arena Package or Premier Pass holder. One parking ticket will be issued for each vehicle for each day purchased and includes one space for the day with in/out parking privileges. Limited availability. Motor home, bus, and limousine parking is not available in the on-site Parking Lot.

On-site Fairgrounds Parking is $25 on Friday, $50 for Saturday or Sunday, and $125 for the full weekend

GENERAL PARKING

For your convenience, park at Monterey Peninsula College (MPC, 980 Fremont St., Monterey) and ride Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) JAZZ buses free to the Festival. Buses will operate roundtrip every 5-10 minutes during the Festival. Click here for a map of the JAZZ shuttle route.

Located off-site at Monterey Peninsula College, just 10 minutes from the Fairgrounds, parking is available for purchase in advance or at Monterey Peninsula College during the Festival weekend. Parking ticket includes a free shuttle to and from the Fairgrounds. Motor home, bus, and limousine parking is not available. No in/out privileges.

Monterey Jazz Festival parking areas at Monterey Peninsula College will open at 3:00 pm on Friday, 10:30 am on Saturday, and 10:30 am on Sunday. A regularly scheduled Shuttle Service will be available throughout the Festival weekend, offering transportation between the Festival parking areas at Monterey Peninsula College and the Fairgrounds. The Shuttle Service will begin when the Festival parking areas open at Monterey Peninsula College. All buses will be wheelchair accessible.

Jazz Festival gates open at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, and 11:30 a.m. on Sunday.
Shuttles from the Monterey Fairgrounds to MPC will board at Gate 4 on Fairground Road.
The final shuttle is scheduled to depart the Fairgrounds at 11:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 10:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Please note the following:

Monterey Peninsula College parking is not available for motor homes, buses, or limousines.
Overnight parking at Monterey Peninsula College is not permitted.
Monterey Jazz Festival is not responsible for losses or damages to vehicles. Please lock your vehicle.

RV INFO

ON-SITE FAIRGROUND PARKING copy

A Full Weekend Arena Package or Full Weekend Grounds Stage Package ticket is required for each RV occupant. All spaces have electricity, water, and sewer available. RVs over 38’ must be self-contained. An additional parking permit is required for a Tow/Chase vehicle. Disabled access is available but limited.
